Dining at the Mermaid Inn
Dine in the Linen Fold Panelled Restaurant, where you can enjoy the ambience of the large restaurant, the cosiness of The Dr Syn Dining Room or the privacy of the Boardroom for your evening meal, lunch and breakfast.
Head Chef Ben Fisher is very focused on using quality, seasonal, local ingredients and cooking them perfectly. He has a broad range of experience having worked in Michelin Star restaurants such as Fischer’s Restaurant in Baslow, The French Laundry in California, Tom Aikens Restaurant in London and worked with Thomas Keller at Harrods. He is able to adapt to the requirements of the guest and the occasion.
Dinner is served 6.00 pm – 8.30pm. The menu features local produce.
The Dinner Menu will be available for Room Service 6.00 pm – 8.30pm.
There is an extensive wine list including locally sourced wines from Gusbourne Vineyard in Appledore, Kent and Chapel Down in Small Hythe, Kent.
Lunch is served 12pm – 2.30pm. The Bar Menu will be offered in the Restaurant, Giants Fireplace Bar and the Patio..
Breakfast is served 8am – 10am. There is a Continental Breakfast and a Full English Breakfast available. We will be offering Room Service, which needs to be pre-ordered with reception by 10pm on the evening before.
Bookings are restricted by Govenrment Covid 19 Guidance:
- Parties of no more than 6 people, consisting of no more than 2 Households.
- The contact details of all guests must be collected and retained for 21 days, for the Contact, Test & Trace programme.
